Controlling a Stepper Motor

I have a Basic Stamp Discovery Kit. And have worked through the book and have no problem writing code to control the servo motor. But, (as everyone else knows) it does not stop very precisely.
So, now I want to try a Stepper Motor. I guess I will buy the 12 volt Unipolar Stepper Motor # 27964 and BiStep Motor Controller USB # 27969.

Is that the right things to buy to learn how to control a Stepper motor?
Also, I have searched the site and forum but I can not find any good example of how to hook-up the new board to my present board and write code to control the motor. Is there a site location that can help me?

Thanks,
Dave

There are some Nuts and Volts Columns on the subject of controlling stepper motors with a Stamp.· On the webpage for the stepper motor controller there will be links to sample code.
