I guess if you already have the cable, it might be worth it, but they're selling the cable for $20, and a Propplug is only $25.
I normally jump right onto these kinds of little DIY projects (if for no other reason in this case than because that cable could also be used to interface an XBee with a PC), but that cable would have to be less than half that $20 price before I'd think about it.

It is worth it if one is in the UK. The cable costs £11.10 and the Propplug is £20.00!!
