SOIC W to DIP/thru hole adapter??
All,
Does anybody know somebody who makes a 18 pin SOIC (WIDE package) to DIP or just true-hole adapter.
Sparkfun have one but its not a wide one.
Its to mount a SMT umFPU 3.1 IC onto an existing PCB - a bit of an edit (er - bodge).
(The DIL/DIP format IC is to big for the space - but may be a last resort)
Thanks,
James

Take a look at Capital Advanced, as they have a very good selection of "surfboards": http://www.capitaladvanced.com/

When all else fails, try inserting a new battery.
Great products - the 9000 series looks good. Shame about the lack of UK distributor.
Anybody know a UK source of similar?

And this is quite handy for people doing SMD prototyping, though not suitable for your problem :

Spot on! The RS one works. I've got a number of the roth prototyping single boards - but hadn't thought of looking at the big sheets
thanks!
