Are you trying to remove the screen and use it, or emulate a cart on the prop·to use in the gameboy, which would allow you to use the controlls as well.· There's alot of info on creating homebrew gbc carts.· There's very little info on the GBC internals.· However you can easily find info on the info on original Gameboy internals. http://gameboygenius.8bitcollective.com/gbdev-wiki/articles/DMG_Schematics

I would be open to either, it would be easier spacewise, and for batteries sake to just use the sreen, but if the emulated cart would work, then by all means.
Another idea would be a cart with the option of giving files from an sd or micro sd card on it. any help would be welcomed.
