Mapping Navigation

What device or devices can I use to get information about the streets and all that.

The reason why im asking this is because i'm looking forward to create a navigation system where my platform can navigate in the streets just by knowing that info.

So if you know a device that can provide me that info and I can play with it, it'll be perfect.

You won't be able to do this with a BS2, or even a propeller. Your best bet would be to use a laptop on your platform, with something like MS streets or the like.
