Java on the propeller

hi, all.
is there any particular reason that there is no java interpreter/jvm/jre for the propeller, or is it just a case of nobody doing it yet?
has SUN Microsystems got some kind of patent or something which stops other people making an interpreter? i doubt this, because they do seem to exist, like GCJ.
