my XP machine crashed - can I use VISTA??

---- Hello.· My XP laptop has "blackscreen disease" (I made that up - but the GEEK Squad wanted $1,200 to fix it) and my·replacement Dell Machine uses Vista - I had no choice at the store...

---- On Parallax' download sections, "Vista" is not listed ---· Is there anything special I have to do to be able to program my SX chips again ???··· The people at BestBuy were able to copy my code from the old to the new computer, but they didn't attempt to copy the assembler itself...

---- Can I just download the one that says "XP" ???·· -· (that doesn't sound correct, but neither does the fact that "Vista" is not listed there on the Parallax download section).

thanks.· tommy

The latest version (v3.2.92h BETA) works just fine on all of our Vista machines. The only problem I've encountered is with file associations: I've never been able to get Vista to recognize the SX-Key Editor as the default program for opening .SXB files.

thank you, Paul.· I will now "go through the trouble of" downloading it...··· (sometimes I'm stuck here with dial up, and it takes a while)...

    Tommy:

I have used the SX-Key Editor, all versions and on my Windows-XP-equipped eMachines and my Toshiba Satellite laptop I encountered no problems in programming my SX devices. I have been using the USB Blitz to program the devices.
