hello

if you have a transistor that requires 10v to switch on like the IRF510 is it possible to put to pins together to create 10v to switch it on. Like hooking two 2 110 lines together to create a 220 circuit in the house. I know what i am asking it will blow the board i am sure but i have never read it here on the forums and i have over 10000 messages archived on my computer so dont laugh will it blow the board ???????????

It's possible to generate 10V from a 5V signal, but it's not as simple as putting two I/O pins together. You would be much better off using a MOSFET designed to be driver by a 5V logic signal like the IRL510.
