Parallax products are available from a number of Canadian distributors --

As much as I like purchasing directly from Parallax, shipping costs are minimal until you have to pay brokerage fees.
On some products, my broker fees were more than the cost of the item I was purchasing!!!

HVWTech can get most things from Parallax....and if they don't list it, call them! I'm sure they'd help you out for the business!

Digikey and Electrosonic also carry some of the uProcessors.

RJ Electronics in Vancouver isn't bad.....but for the distance!

I'm in Ontario as well and don't really know of a cool place I can go in and browse for these types of things! Let me know what ones you know of!

    Cheers

    ^^

this is why you request to use USPS to ship to Canada ( and not UPS or any other fancy services)

i didn't have to pay any brokerage for $100 worth of merchandise, but the $30 shipping cost was a bit painful

My favorite rant! Being taken for cross border shipping. It sucks, but its' a reality you have to live with. And with the cdn. $ dropping again, it gets worse. I did another search today and came up with this........

    www.abra-electronics.com/products/home.php?cat=460

They ship from a warehouse in Montreal, so that would get around the brokerage fee thing.
I would call to check it out first.

Digi-key, HVWTech (Solarbotics), abra-electronics ...used them all, got good in-Canada service from all.

If you have to cross border, use USPS, have goods addressed to you personally (not to a company name), will come with minimal hassle.
