some bracketed code] disappears

When attempting an answer a simple question with some code
I found that it omitted some of the bracketed information.
I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere, but I can't find it.

Perhaps the obvious solution could be added to the stickies in this section?

Things like [i] and [2] will disappear, because they are special tags (italics and font-size 2) for the forum code. If you're having this problem posting Spin code, you can filter it through my formatter at www.phipi.com/format first.

I noticed if you put a space before and after the index, it will post correctly.

I think parallax should fix this when using the code directive.

It seems like a bug there...

It's not a bug, it's just the way dotNetBB (and other forums as well) is designed. When you are trying to post something with code you should click the "Insert Formatted Code" button, which is made for this reason. It looks like the pound (#) sign above.

    Code Test
    variable[i]
    variable[2]
    [b][/b]
    [i][/i]
    [url][/url]
