where to find specific connector?

I'm using a BS1 to drive a stepper motor circuit and the stepper has a bunch of MPC-2 connectors (same 4 pin black cd-rom connectors).

I've google searched high and low and can't find out what the AMP or Tyco or Molex part number for these are. The only things I can find are cd-rom connectors which are female to female. I need a male receptacle... Any help would be greatly appreciated and save me a lot of hair pulling!

If the MPC-2 connector is 0.1 inch on center (I think it is, but it's been a while since I've seen one), you can probably use something like Molex SL or similar.
I think AMP/Tyco makes something equivalent, MT maybe?

Thanks! That was just what I was looking for! It is just a .100" centers with a thin profile.

However, I have the female version of the connector on the left. What is that male version on the right? Is it just the female + some sort male connector? Thanks again!

Thanks for the response. I only see PCB receptacles and need a female one like on the right of the posted one above... Any other leads?

The one on the right is the same 'shell' as the one on the left, it's just got male 'pins' crimped to the wires, instead of female 'sockets'.

Both are in the picture -- the female is on top, the male crimp pin is on the bottom.

Yes, the housing is the same on each end, Only the pins are different. The male and female pins are in the center of the photograph.

    Here is a decent how-to:

I usually add a bit of solder to the crimp, just to be sure, but a good crimp doesn't need any.
