ir receiver circuit?

Hey guys, I just got the IR receiver component from the Parallax store and was wondering what circuit I should build in order to test it? The internet page to buy it gives some example programs but not a circuit diagram. I am a freshman in Electrical Engineering so I havn't had my circuitry class yet, but I'd still like to get ahead of the pack [noparse]:)[/noparse] thanks

    Download the IR Remote with the BoeBot tutorial from Parallax. Go to their main web page, click on the Resources tab, then select Downloads, then Stamps in Class Downloads. This tutorial goes over IR communications, particularly using standard IR remote controls. The receiver used in the tutorial is the same one you've got and there are plenty of sample schematics.
