Hey Guys- Long time ..no post. Hope all is well with all your robotic endeavors! Question! Does anybody know of a better or faster or higher torgue servo that will fit the boe bot chassis? I've got my bot modified with the old radio shack r/c truck tracks(pics below) and wondering about putting more horsepower in there. Of course, i know i can always go with dc motors...but agian i want it to fit the boe-bot platform. Any ideas? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

You could try running the servo directly through the motor and give it I larger voltage. The servo motors can be run at a higher voltage than the electronics, so if you get a cheap motor controller or make an H-bridge I'm sure you could get that extra power you want. Just make sure you also add a larger power supply.

Servos are available in a huge range of speeds and torques in the same size as a standard servo.

There is a catch - money. The servo industry is very mature and competitive, so servos have been tailored to all needs. You can check some out at servocity.com/

The fastest servo I can think of is servocity.com/html/hs-6965hb_hi-speed_coreless.html. It's over twice as fast as the servos that come with a boebot kit.

but if you look over the site, you may find some that better suite your needs.
