The Proteus system does simulate a Stamp and its attached components. Since a Board of Education is mostly a breadboard and power supply for the Stamp, the Proteus system could effectively simulate a Board of Education by simulating the Stamp. Why do you ask? If you're trying to avoid the overall cost of a Stamp and Board of Education, you won't save anything. You'd probably do better with a Stamp HomeWork Board which you can get as part of the Stamp Activity Kit.
Note that the Proteus system for the Basic Stamp costs 99 pounds Sterling (about $170 today).

Well I'm taking a robotics class and we're supposed to be working on the boe-bots in groups, but my partners left me and now I'm really eager to keep up with the rest of the class, even if I am at a disadvantage. To me it doesn't matter whether I pass or fail the class, I just want to see how far I can go and if I can compete with the people working in pairs. I can't really buy the boe-bot but I guess I can use Proteus's demo to test out my codes
