The SX has no special protection for electrical noise in the environment. It (like other microcontrollers) depends on a well-regulated power supply. The I/O pins have some protection against voltage spikes outside the supply voltage range, but this is to prevent destruction of the chip, not to make it function properly in a noisy environment (they're diodes that clamp input voltages to the power supply).

    Hello Mike,

    thanks for your answer .

I'm search for the right specs to use the right micro for our needs. and what we must do against the environment problem by elevators.

Parallax's Stamp PLC (www.parallax.com/Store/Education/CustomKits/tabid/134/txtSearch/plc/List/1/ProductID/290/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName%2cProductName) is an example of a Stamp in an enclosure with circuitry around it to protect it from a typical industrial environment. Your application is a little different, but the issues are the same.
