I have question can can any body please help me with some ideas

the question is

Figure 4-9 shows two simple obstacle courses. Write a program that will make
your Boe-Bot navigate along each figure. Assume straight line distances
(including the diameter of the circle) to be either 1 yd or 1 m.
the figures are···· circule its diameter is 1 meter
the second figure is triangle

can you pass with the boe over the figure or it is an obstacle that can be detected with an IR led and Receiv. ??

what kind of sensor do you have on your Boe Bot ??
