PC to serial PSC control

I have bought my second PSC Serial Controller. The first was cooked due to not realizing I needed the RS-232 line driver linked below.

I can't get my servos to move. I am hooked to com 2 on my pc (set at 2400 and stop bits 2). Then to the RS-232 which is hooked to the PSC. I have power to both the board and the servos. I try to use the PSCI software but nothing happens (I open the com 2 port in the software and it says it opens). My red light is on steady on the psc and the green one will blink when I adjust the servo sliders. I would appreciate any help here. I am trying to animate a skull for halloween. I want to see it work before I try to get it running·in other software. Thanks, Jerome

    Jerome -

How are you providing power to the PSC board?

Hi Jerome,·How many servos are there and did·remove the jumper from X2 so that the channel numbers fall between 0 and 15.

I have been using 5 volts from a old pc power supply to power the board. I have used the same power supply to power one servo off a differnt lead. I have also tried to use an rc car battery pack to power the servos. The power supply is working properly. The jumper is only on one pin so it is the same as not being connected. Thanks for any further help. Jerome

Ok, Problem solved. Like a dummy I had put my transistors in backwards on my board. The error was made when I laid out my PCB. I works now just fine. I also retested my other controller and it works also. I thought I smoked it. Thanks for the comments guys. Jerome
