Can the 2125 Accelerometer handle physical shock?

I'm using the 2125 Memsic Dual Accelerometer to detect a hard right-left shake on my PPDB.
Suddenly I've had to add some math to get my Accelerometer data right.

Anyone else every tested this product for physical shock? :)

In theory, there shouldn't be any issue of it sustaining moderate amounts of shock. The technology uses a heated air bubble which wouldn't be affected, the datsheet for the actual sensor says it has a 50,000 g shock survivability. Now it could just be a repeatabiity error, or perhaps they define "survivability" to mean that it works, but may have an altered reading. If the later is the case, potentially the heater or one of the temperature sensors moved due to the shock which is causing a different reading.
