Cheap RF chips and good sound chips to interface with the Propeller processor v

Hi all,

I am planning to do a project (as a hobby) with the Propeller chip via the proto board sold by Parallax. A couple of requirements below. Size and price do matter. The smaller and cheaper, the better.

1. I want to be able to do some RF sending and receiving. For this part: a) I would to know what are cheapest (but reliable and with decent support) chips to use. I prefer an all-in-one-cheap kind of thing with/without decode/encoder built in. b) distance requirement is a couple meters. I know that Parallax sells such thing, but it's quite expensive for experimentation.

2. As for sound. My main requirement is of a good chip (again price matters) that could play a pre-recorded message (that is, a DAC) very clearly with stereo/CD quality.

Thanks for any tips.
