Old Contest Entries

To Ken Gracey;

Hello Ken, I was asked by a forum member as to the location of one of my previous contest entries; the SX Real Time Operating System. When I went to look for it on the Parallax site, I also could not locate it, or for that matter any of the old (first?) contest results.

I am wondering if these were deleted on purpose or by accident..... there certainly were a good bunch of quality submissions and valuable information available in them to the forum. Might it be possible to have them reposted??

Also, could there be a new "CONTESTS" tab allocated so they can be more easily located?

Peter, re-submit your RTOS in the "Completed Projects". It's definitely a keeper for future generations of SX'ers.

I cannot find to 2004/05 contests there, but Peter Verkaik has it correct as:

As I had asked earlier, is it possible to create a tab/button on the Parallax site to make the previous contests easier to find?

Frankly, I do find navigating around the Parallax site quite frustrating.... it seems never clear to me what path to follow to find what I'm looking for. But then perhaps that's just me and everyone else is OK with things as they are.

Peter Verkaik's link is not on the Parallax web site, but under a web archiving service, that has it stored on their server.·

As you probably saw, at least for me, it's missing the BMP's but at least the downloads were still there.

Jim,

The·2004/2005 winner·"The SX Creaper" was one of the best SX projects I have seen,·it was very well documented and was an excellent example of what a SX is capable of. It's a shame that it isn't included in the current website.

change the creeper id to 672. Can't fix the other one. Wierd.
