Question about IRDect, IRemitt.

Well , I got rid of the Line Following Stuff because of black and white only. I need something to keep me from falling of off the kitchen table.·
Ok, then, I rewired everything to do with IR back the way I had it and according to the information that Mike Green gave me.
When I run Boebasic.bas, It does it's stuff fine. But, I get a reading back of 9 9 9 9 9· for v,w,x,y,z. Does this reading sound like it is working?· It gives me the same reading wither or not I plug into my protoboard.· I believe I have everything wired correctly. The emitters and detectors are both pointing about 45 degrees to the right and left and both are pointing toward the ground in front of the robot so he can see the floor. I have worked at this problem for days. Any help wil be apreciated. I read the information on IZONE and I still do not understand why I am getting these readings. Everything else seems to be working fine so far. I have taken it one step at a time and now I am concentrating on the IRs.
