Which microcontroller?

Hello!

I have almost finished with my Boe-Bot and I want to build something new. However, I don't know which microcontroller to choose. I need 5 servo outputs, at least 8 inputs and a port for the ccd camera. Which microcontroller (and the board) should I use? Please help!

    1) You won't get far with the kind of title you've given. "REPLY!" is a real turnoff.

    2) You don't say what you want to accomplish other than "something new". That's not very helpful.

For something new with plenty of I/O pins, consider a Propeller Protoboard. It fits on the BoeBot chassis,
works nicely with lots of servos, has lots of I/O pins, and has a lot more processing power than the Stamps.

Thanks for help! However, I need something that requires NO SOLDERING and it's relatively easy to use. My robot I'm planning to build is nothing special (2 servos for driving, 2 other servos, 3 Ir sensors...)

Then you'll need to stick with the Board of Education. It requires no soldering and it's relatively easy to use. You could swap out the BS2 for something with more memory and faster like the BS2px.

There was one posted project that used the Propeller Education Kit on the BoeBot chassis. You might search for that in the Complete Projects forum. That would not require any soldering. You'll have to figure out your own threshold for "easy to use".
