Giant Hobbico Servo Problem

Hello--

We have interfaced many standard servos successfully with the BASIC Stamp II in the past. However, we are having problems with this giant Hobbico servo. It is a Hobbico CS-80 Dual BB giant scale servo. Anyone have some advice on how to get the BS II to drive it?

Pictures please if possible and as many details as you can give.

Thanks,

Dave Hawkins

If you want advice, you have to provide more information. How about finding a datasheet for the servo and attaching that to a message?

I cannot find a datasheet in the box or on the internet. I was hoping someone might know something about them w/o the datasheet.

From the limited information on one store's website, this seems to be a standard servo though large. It requires a control pulse with a 1.52ms width for center position which is pretty much normal. Most Stamp programs assume a 1.5ms center position control pulse. The website warned about wiring it to an adequate power source. A Stamp should be able to drive this without problems.

What's happening in your case and how do you have it wired?

Also where are you getting power and how much is available for the servo?
