Duraband PVS 1970 monitor Video Interfacing to the Propeller

Hi everyone,

I've got Duraband PVS model 1970 Car DVD player with dual monitors. It has a round video input plug on the monitor
it is PAL/NTSC. However, the video input is not a S-Video plug, it has 9 pins in a round configuration similar to s-video
It looks like this...

QUESTION:

Does anyone know the pin mapping to VGA so I can hook it up on the Propeller demo board
VGA ? Or maybe, where I can find it ?

This connector looks similar to a 9 pin video-in and video-out connector as shown here...
http://pinouts.ru/Video/radeon_vivo_pinout.shtml

But, On my connector there is a 1 pin size space between pin 8 & 7 as shown above.

I would like to hook this type monitor up to my Propellers VGA connector, but I don't know how.

Can anyone offer any help ?

Thank you for your help and suggestions.

    Areal,

    I did a Google search and found this on a user forum. I do not know if it will help or not.

    For those that have a broken DVD player and still want to use the monitors or you want to convert their monitors into a regular video monitor for use with a game console here is the color code for the wires that are in the cable that run from the player to the monitor. All that is needed is a 12V power source, an RCA video output from a video source and an audio output.

    Grey = 12V+
    Black= Ground (Black and White can be tied together)
    White= Video ground
    Orange=Left speaker (Orange and yellow can be tied to together
    Yellow= Right speaker for mono sound there is only one speaker)
    The non-insulated wire can be tied to ground. So can the ground lead for the speakers.
    Blue, brown, orange, and green seem to control the remote control feed to and front the base unit

    Use this info with caution, as I do not know if it is accurate.

    Ok, I found it. Here it is...

    plug1.gif

    Ua... It's been a while since I worked with video.

    QUESTION:

    Can I hook it up to the propeller ? Will it work ?

    Would I need to use the RCA instead ? Or what ?

    Could I hook up a seperate 12v source with the correct amp level and just input from the Propeller RCA into video in ?
    or would two much voltage/current backflow on the video line to the Propeller ?

    Looks like the Monitor is pulling 0.83 amps. (12vdc @ 10Watts)

    Thanks !
