SX-Key (DB9 Serial) and Parallax USB2SER?
![Zoot](https://forums.parallax.com/uploads/userpics/559/nW4UO23UEIWZ4.png)
I have a USB2SER I use for Basic Stamps on one of my laptops (current driver, works great). Can I just plug the usb2ser into my DB9 serial SX-Key and expect it to just work? Or would I have to purchase a new USB SX-Key :-(
I have plenty of machines with DB9 serial, but our newest laptop is USB only.

Please bear in mind that the USB2SER was a development tool used on the Propeller prior to its release and cannot bridge the gap between USB and RS-232 devices. The output is non-inverted and at 3.3V levels instead of the inverted +/-12V levels the key expects. Now if you actually have the USB to 232 adapter we have which has a MAX232 line driver on it then you can use that.· I know some may not realize we have the deveopment tool with that name.· A link is below.
