I I thought one system using gyroscope utilising a "acelerometer or gyro" to perform a topography of terrain, based on system of compute de meters·the race car are performed and the course of veycle in degres.
This method are good to stabilish velocity of acquire information about the·race car·position, and perform·a performance of veycle at any position of track.

Have much aplications of this system on race car

for example acquirements of performance in curves of track
assistance of veycle in breaks
visual information to pilot ,to determine how much velocity need to make a curves more precise.

etc..

this method requires point of reference· to start computation.

    It should work if you have a way to get the precise position of the car (latitude and longitude, or similar method...). Without that you will only get a curve a one dimensional magnitude besides distance. You may start with something as simple as a sheet of millimeter paper and a two-wheeled vehicle use a couple of IR emitter and detector and try to read the lines with that you could determine X and Y positions. Tzhen you can add a gyro or an accelerometer to determine topography. A topographic map can then be constructed... point to point. The propeller can help you in the graphic part using for instance its TV-Out or VGA out capabilities, besides calculations and all. You can record the "way around the terrain" and later present it or you can send the telemetry via RF or IR. There are several points that should work before you embark yourself is such a project. It could be very challenging, but that is life for wink.gif.

    The topography of terrain are pre vectorized on make the steps x and y from border of tracks, this is simple way to make the topography, with x and y vector coords.
    the final completation are you have system to make the telemetry to performer more precisely the guidance of race car on the track.

    Is interesting if have sensors type acelerometer in rear and front of car to determine the amount of roll and front suspenssion and rear roll , and the bump and rebanping of shocks absorver are to tuning the suspenssion of car with the topography of terrain.

    this method to determine the how much roll the car over the curves ~front and rear~,is graphicaly ploted on the screen with the topography of terrain .
