Qustion regarding uOLED-128-GMD1 and BS2

I just purchased one of these and I am a little confused on what resistors I need to put in.
Some of the docs say I need a pullup resistor and a 1K resistor on the RX line ... other docs
say I only need to put the 1K resistor on the RX line.
