Hi,

I (for whatever reason) thought any typical serial debugger, or even hyper terminal, would suffice to watch an RS232 line between two devices so I could incorporate certain commands/results into my Bs2 project. My assumption didn't prove true.

Any referrals?

    You should be able to use Hyperterminal or other serial terminal program to watch an RS232 line between two devices.
    You would need to give more information about the devices you're using and how everything is connected for anyone to be able to give more specific advice.

    You can use any simple terminal software, but to actually "see" the com traffic you need an RS-232 serial monitoring cable. I bought mine from here:
