HB25 hf-sound noise problems
Hi,
I am using some HB25 DC motorcontrolers for a artistic motion installation. They create some HF noise when running DC motors (Load 1A) . The noise is approx 10KHz, hardly noticeable for older people like me (53 years) but annoying for younger people. The trouble is because the installation should be as silent as possible.
Does somebody had the same experience? Any solution?
thanks

The noise is coming from the motors themselves, and is due to the way the HB-25 controls the speed of the motor. In fact, you would normally only notice the sound at lower speeds. The PWM frequency is just below 10 kHz so that’s what you are hearing. The only solutions I can think of is some sort of filter at the PWM frequency or to use a motor controller that uses a different frequency.
