No BASIC Stamps found - please help

Hi,

I'm new to the stamps but I'm having an old problem with port comunication from my computer.
I have a "BS2" (DIP) to a modul board, and I can't put it to live. I get the message:

"No BASIC Stamps found "

its running on 9v. batterie and an externall 5v.-volt regulator
the batterie is good and all connections chekked dusines of times

I had communication problems earlier with my self made "arduino" serial
and tried to programe it with parallel avr cable enny way it's a quite a long story and it's all there:

This has nothing to do with your Stamp program. It's some kind of basic communication problem between the PC and the Stamp. Start with un-installing the Stamp Editor and the I/O driver (if you're using a USB to serial adapter). Then reinstall the software from a freshly downloaded copy from Parallax (and the drive from FTDI if that's the USB to serial adapter that you have). If you don't have an FTDI-based USB to serial adapter, that may be part of your problem although, if it worked before, it should work again. If you're using an ordinary serial port, check your cable. Sometimes wires or pins break.

Yep you're right, I've resoldered my seriall cable as it apears the pins were swaped. So I changet it like pin to pin stright. and whala, Hello World
