Hello,

normaly we have used the stamp to control and monitor an elevator now we need more I/O.So we like to use the sx48.
On this moment we doing some tests to·change from·the stamp to sx and that go perfect.weuse onthis moment the sx 28.
We using the internal freq but when we must go to the external resonator.
ofcourse when you need more speed but when you must change to an higher speed??is there a rule for.

Unless a project is running on battery power I just default to 50 MHz -- I'd rather have the bandwidth an not need it than to have to solder in a new resonator. Of course, you could always put a 3-pin machine socket into your project and change as required (I do this for my Nuts & Volts projects).

The general rule would be to go to an external oscilator for higher accuracy or higher than 4 MHZ speed.
