New uOLED-96-PROP with 10MHz crystal

Duffer was kind enough to send me one of 4D's new uOLED-96-PROPs with the 10 MHz crystal.

Now, the·onboard Prop·can run at 80 MHz with all the cogs!

Just had to change one line of the code to put in the new crystal value and my driver works just as it should.

Slideshow animation now up to 20 fps.· So, I'd expect some tinkering could get it up to film or possible video refresh rates for uSD card content...

But, the flying dove animation looks very smooth now.

You can see the 10 MHz crystal (the white thing labelled FOX 10.000) in this picture:

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought the original design would have called for a 5mhz,
    hence running at 80mhz?

I have received several and all of them so far have had 8 MHz crystals.

Without re-running the full debate; the 8MHz crystals can have problems with PLL16x and at PLL8x that limits maximum system speed to 64MHz.

    With 5MHz plus PLL16x or 10MHz plus PLL8x that's a system speed of 80MHz.

I guess the 10MHz was chosen for size. The SpinStamp and Hydra also use 10MHz crystals.

Nice! They are not going to offer this with a 10MHz. crystal? Anything else about the design change or only the one component?

The 8 bit ASM driver I wrote should give killer speed at 80MHz, because it was already super fast at 64MHz.
