LCD display help needed

I am having trouble getting my LCD display just to show a cursor. I can not found out what I could be doing wrong. Could someone check out my code. I have included the datasheet, and a test program code for the computer. I know there is something I just cant see.

I have some of these displays and was able to get them working. Take a look at this and see if it will work for you. I have not included any provision to scroll the display, that makes the GOSUBs too deep.
