A blog for new comers

Hi all.· I have been checking in on the SX forum on and off for a while but I usually·spend most of my time in the Propeller threads.· A month or so ago I got the new SX Tech Tool kit.· I decided I would start a blog to post information and resources as I learn about the SX.· Right now there are only a couple posts that mostly point back to resources on Parallax's site.· I will continue to cover the basics for learning the SX and I hope to also go through a couple projects as well.· The blog will incorporate pictures and videos of the various experiments with the SX.

If you have ideas or topics that you would like to see on the blog, let me know.· Also, if you have an idea for a community project that could be done through the blog, I am open to ideas.· I have a few ideas, but would like to create something that interests others as well as me.· I hope the blog eventually grows to be a resource for those new to the SX (new new or just transitioning from the Basic Stamp) or new to the electronics/robotics hobby.

At the moment I would like to see the blog focus more on learning the SX, but I am open for tid bits and trivia and tricks and such. In time I hope the blog can offer more advance topics. Let me know what your thoughts are and we can probably find a place for it.

I saw and ad for the SX Tech Tool kit on the back cover of the July 2008 Nuts and Volts. I was thinking it would be fun to try and it certainly is a great deal at $89.95. Like you say on you blog - I already have the power supply.

Great idea Timothy - I look forward to reading your SX blog.

Thanks Whit. I got the kit just after the new SX-Key USB was finished. I thought I would try and give back to community while I learn as well as build some traffic for Brilldea. A win-win for everyone.

    Hey everyone,

Timothy's Blog really is beginner oriented. It starts from the very beginning and is helping me learn about the SX already. I've wanted to understand more before I ventured in this direction and the blog really·is helping me.

    The link is http://www.sxmicro.com/

    Thanks again Timothy!

Thank you Whit for the good review. The SX micro blog was started so that I could share with other my experience as I learn about the SX. For me I find that when I want to teach about something, or tell others, that I am challenged to really learn what I am talking about. So far the SX micro blog is making read and reread things. I hope what I post the site is valuable for others too.

In time I hope to be able to post about the projects people are doing or share other information like tips and tricks.
