Has anyone programmed the SX48 with the USB sx-key ?

I'm trying to program an SX48 with the USB version of the SX-Key and it doesn't seem to be working.
If I do DEVICE->READ it says it is an SX18 and the ID is just a mess of characters ???
It programs okay with the Serial SX-Key, and I can program SX28 with the USB version without problems.

Bean.

    Bean,

I just took my USB SX-Key and programmed an SX-48 proto-board. No problems. I have no resonator on the board, and no external circuitry attached.

Interestingly, I thought that the ID was something that wasn't properly supported in the Beta IDE, but the ID string came up perfectly for me.

    Thanks,

    Bean,

in the meantime, I have programmed about 100 SX48s with the new SX-Key USB and the current IDE Beta version w/o problens. I also did some debugging, and it also worked.

I'm curious to know what went wrong on your side, so please keep us posted.

Yes me too. I just ordered a new USB SX Key (along with a Serial to USB cable for my other Serial SX Key) and it looks like I may have to go to a SX48/52 protoboard.

The only things out of the ordinary is that I have a 20MHz resonator installed, and I'm using the WATCHDOG.

It programs without any errors, but the SX doesn't run. And when I read back the device, it says it is a SX18 and the ID is just garbage.
I'll try removing the resonator when I get a chance.

Man! I can't resist this! ME trying to help YOU! :)

I am using one of Robert Doerr's SX48 40 pin modules in a PDB and I program it with an SX-Key (USB). I am very advanced with it, having made an LED blink quite successfully.

    I hope this helps.

It was doubtless my help that did it. Feel free to pass it along to others. :)
