Strange RFID reader output...

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my RFID reader, the output doesn't match the specs at all...

The spec says that it will output [0x0A]{10 bytes -- Unique ID}[0x0D] at 2400 baud, 8-n-1... However I'm getting different results. On my PC, Mac, and STR710 dev kit I get something in hex like:

BD 36 7D 99 9F 99 8F 73 97 93 E5 00
or
BD 36 7D CB FF 96 F6 6C 5D 9B 7F 00

Anyone know what could be going on?

Are both sets of numbers from the same tag? Also, the output of the RFID Reader is Non-Inverted TTL. How are you reading it? The default state of the TX line will be high. I wonder if perhaps you’re using inverted mode.
