Download problem

I'm attempting to download basic stamp program software to a P2 laptop running Windows 2000 Pro. It appears to downlaod successfully, ie I get the setup icon on the desktop and I can see it in the fie structure when I search for it. However when I attempt to install the program, I get this error message:

1155: FileC\Documents and Settings\myname\Desktop\INSTMSIW.EXE not found

Can anyone suggest what is happening here and how to proceed? TIA ron
