programming in pbasic without a stamp

is there a pbasic interpreter available to allow development of pbasic code without being plugged into a stamp?

There are some commercial interpreters. Here's one: www.labcenter.co.uk/products/bstamp.cfm.
There was one website talking about a "lite" version for free, but it's only for a BS1 and leaves out some of the important statements.

Frankly, a Stamp Activity Kit only costs $100 and includes a HomeWork Board which provides a BS2 as well as an introductory manual with learning exercises and the parts to go with them.

IMHO, the Stamp 1 Project board is the best value around at $15. I order a dozen at a time for little projects.
