Greetings, and a newbie question... :)
Sup all? :)
My name's Arye and I'm a 20 y/o boy from Israel.
I've no prior experience with microcontrollers, and since this entire field·in electronics is extremely fascinating, I thought I'd start learning how to use them! :)
For a guy who only knows the basic theory of electricity and a bit·about digital logic, and that has never used or designed circuits with microcontrollers before, is it a good starting point to buy the SX Tech Tool Kit and use it to learn·how microcontrollers work and how to use the·SX Microcontroller especially? Is the SX Microcontroller a good MCU to start with at all, or is it a bit too advanced?
I've seen that the kit comes with Gunther Daubachs' book, and I've also downloaded and printed the 200+ pages book about the SX Microcontroller that's found on parallaxs' web-site in the documentation area.
Could I use this two books together with the kit in order to start and learn how to use microcontrollers and especially how to use the SX Microcontroller? Or do you suggest any other books/kits/MCUs to start with?
Please tell me if I should start the way I described, and if you find it not suitable for a total beginner like me, please suggest a better way. ;)
And I'm sorry if you find in mistakes in my post, English isn't my native language, so... bare with me...·![blush.gif](http://forums.parallax.com/images/smilies/blush.gif)
Thanks a lot in advance, yours greatly, Arye. :)
P.S: When answering, please remember that I'm a total beginner in this entire Microcontrollers field! :) No prior experience, no nothing. Just a bit of electricity and digital logic, that's all I know. :(
P.S. 2: I did searched the forum for same questions, but didn't come up with nothing. :( So don't think I'm lazy, I searched! ;)

You could also start with the Basic Stamp, but if you want to jump in right away with the SX it is very do able. I am piecing together a resource that may be of help to you and other beginners, stay tuned for more details.
