What is the best way for SX to measure current used by a servo motor?

I want to use a 0.2 ohm resistor in series with a servo motor's negative lead before going to ground.
I hope to measure the voltage across this resistor, which is only a few milivolts above ground using the Sigma-Delta ADC, which will give me a good estimate of the current being used by the servo.
Is there a way to amplify this signal (for better reading accuracy) by using
an unbalanced pair of sensing and feedback resistors? ie. maybe 20k for sensing resistor and 10k for the feedback resistor.
Thanks.
