Is there some obvious reason why I could not use pins 31 and 30 as D- and D+ and the ID pin as the reset pin so I could program the propeller with a modified mini-b plug?·
Would a pull up tied from pin 0 clobber the program data or are these pins pretty stable on startup?
On an unlikely prop reset could will the dropping pullup disconnect the usb device without errors to the host?

2) The I/O pins (other than 28-31) are all inputs on startup and stay that way until changed by a user program.
3) There's no protection for the Propeller from possible transients on the USB signal lines other than the substrate diodes
