Hi,
I have a BSII and SX Tech board. I have a lot of parallax products and I just got a Mac-book Pro Laptop. The Mac software for programming the BSII works great. Does anyone know how to write a simple data logger in java or other language for OS X? I want to manipulate data coming from my virtual serial port. The port is from the serial2usb converter from parallax. I know visual basic and other computer languages.

py-serial provides access to serial ports for python under the Mac OS: py-serial.darwinports.com/. Python could certainly be used for implementing a simple data logger. There's already a downloader for the Propeller written in Python. It's a good example for accessing a serial port under the Mac OS.
