Please help - 433Mhz rf receiver/transmitter problems

Hello,
I'm fairly new to microcontrollers and IC-related things, and I'm having some problems using the 433Mhz rf transmitters/receivers. What I want to achieve is PC/Javelin stamp wireless, two-way communication. I know how to use the transmitter/receiver pair on the Javelin, but I can't figure out how to connect the other pair to my PC. I've found a few things about using a MAX232 line driver, although I really don't have that great of an understanding of that chip. Does anyone know a relatively simple (and cheap) way to connect both the receiver and transmitter to my PC, preferably using a USB port? Maybe a schematic or something? Thanks!
