Hi, this is just a thought and may well have been proposed before, if so I apologise, but wouldn't it be nice develop the Propeller Tool to run on a Propeller and use this as a development system. Ahhhh ...... no more Windows jumpin.gif

    My understanding is that your idea is already planned for the Prop2. Or some revision of it. I think that is one of Chips ultimate goals...

    Not to put you on the spot, but where / when did you hear about that?

    Cause that would make the prop more into an oldschool retro computer.

    @casslan: There is a long (>26 page) thread about the PropII on this forum. If you are patient enough to read the entire thread, you will see mention of the embedded development system along with tentative specifications. The plan last I read was to put a compiler in ROM, but it might not be there at launch.

    wait, what , really? there are plans for an official on prop development tool? OHhhhh that would be so cool. Still though, i hope that doesn't put any one off from making one themselves. If i were half smart enough, i'd do it.

    As I said at the first post, I apologise if this was previously discussed. I will now go and look this up. I look forward eagerly to PropII.
