Hi,

I would like to add a backup power suply to me Javelin to keep it running in case of power outage. Is there a simple way to do so?

Thanks,

JM

A quick search of Google will get you some results on simple diode-based circuits that will allow you to have a battery connected to the Javelin that essentially takes over in a power loss situation, however some people opt for another solution…low power UPS systems are very inexpensive these days. You could plug your whole system into one of those and when the mains go out it will take over. With such a small load you could get an hour or more out of it.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I searched on Google, but was not able to find anything else than car battery chargers schemas. I think that I'm not using the right key words. Can you just let me know what the name of what I need, so I will be able to google it? I will also look for UPS options.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Jean-Marc

That helps a lot! Thanks so much. I will do some test to see how I can adapt that to my Javelin.
