How can you tell if a propeller chip is broken?

Hello,

I have 2 protoboards. The first one is detected correctly with prop tool. When I hook up the second (same com port, same prop plug, same 6V power supply) it says it scans the port but does not find any propeller chip. How to make a diagnostic for this board? The green led is on, is ther any diagnosis I can easily make with a multitester to find out if the chip is broken?

If indeed you cannot detect the Propeller and you are using an identical setup for the other board that does identify, then you likely have a defective board. Contact our Tech Support so that we can get you a replacement board.
