Do any of the objects have a method that does this? I can write one if I need to but its just easier if one already exists.

And about myself: from time to time i have a question - somebody is answering
and reading the answer i think to myself "easy solution why didn't i got this idea myself?

But sometimes i'm some kind of "blocked" and then of course i ask the forum.

I just want to mention one idea how to help yourself

I knew this object from looking through the code.
But initiated by your question i made the following two things:

I set up the windows searchfunction to search-through all the library-spinfiles for words like "fraction", "float", "decimal"

and as a passioned collector of Propeller-objects i had the extendFD-object already downloaded.

I typed in the word "fraction" into the searchfunction of the obex

and voila !there it is !

obex.parallax.com/objects/search/?q=fraction

So the general idea is thinking about specific words related to the issue and then
using DIFFERENT searchfunctions like google, website-build-searchfunctions
