Controlling 24V Motor with Pulsout Command???

I have been using a board of education and a couple of HB25s to control geared 12V motors drawing up to 6A each. I now want to be able to drive 12V and 24V(3A) motors using the same commands ie Pulsout - but the HB25 is only rated to 16V and driving the 24V at 12V isn't an option as the speed woud be impaired - does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Pololu has a variety of motor controllers. Here's one that can handle a 24V motor although it's limited to 2.5A. It does have two channels that can be combined for a total load of 5A: www.pololu.com/catalog/product/767. It does accept an R/C control pulse like the HB25.
