BS2px VFD Display

I have a VFD Display (Parallax part number 27970). I have used it with a BS2 module, but it seems when I use it with a BS2px the display does not output the correct information (i.e. seemingly random symbols). In the datasheet it mentions using 38.4Kbps serial. I am wondering if there is a different baud mode number for the BS2 vs. the BS2px. The program worked fine with the BS2 on Serout baud mode 6. Is there something else I should use for the BS2px. Where could I find this info in the documentation?

The parameters for the SEROUT command are different between the BS2 and BS2PX chip. See the BASIC Stamp Reference Manual for the SEROUT command on page 415 and the Demo program shown on pages 428-429 www.parallax.com/Portals/0/Downloads/docs/prod/stamps/web-BSM-v2.2.pdf
