SID convention LA: Society of Information Displays

There is a very cool convention in LA this week, SID, at the LA convention center downtown.
i went by there today to meet a guy that makes a glass cutting CNC machine, and was really glad he invited me. I had been looking for a company to do some really nice graphic overlays for a capacitive touch panel, and there were plenty of those companies there, including every imaginable display, large and small.
This is a great thing to check out if you are into developing products or into manufacturing using LEDS, OLED, LCD, etc, as well as anything related to glass and plastic overlays and touch systems, Samsung is there with all kinds of high tech gear, LV, etc. They had some tiny graphic displays that were unbelievable quality, some as small as 1" x 1" with incredible quality.
Just wanted to post about it if anyone else is in LA, there is a lot to be seen there. I am pretty sure it runs through Friday.
